Information You Submit
Search-box entries, such as names, phone numbers, or addresses, pass to the outside provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only what its sender chooses to provide, and we use it to answer that message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary logs that can include an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregated log data helps maintain the site and show which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use Information
Limited usage data supports site operation, repairs, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We neither sell visitor lists nor assemble profiles of individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to government portals, Carroll County and Maryland offices, libraries, and outside search services. Information entered on a linked service is controlled by that service's privacy terms. The same rule applies to sponsored results supplied by an outside company.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. We retain server logs only as long as needed for the purposes above. Because we do not run accounts, there is no password or profile of yours to breach on this site.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Applicable law may provide rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. Maryland's Online Data Privacy Act is codified at Commercial Law Title 14, Subtitle 47 and grants qualifying consumer rights against covered controllers. Because we retain little information, a request generally means checking contact mail and server logs for removable data. Use the Contact page to submit one. Government records held by Carroll County or Maryland agencies remain outside our control, so correction or removal requests must go to the custodian.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
